Education & Grant Projects

We give lectures for county, city, and state governments as well as for colleges, universities, retail establishments, parks, garden clubs, trade associations and homeowners/ civic associations.  Topics include tropical and native landscape design, environmentally friendly forms of pest control, organic fertilization, wildlife landscaping, and maintenance.  We work with schools, museums and other educational entities to assist with grant writing, curriculum guidelines, and educational plantings to be utilized by students and the general public.  We presently have ongoing projects with Broward County Schools in creating habitat teaching sites to educate children on loss of habitat and plant and animal interactions within an urban environment.  We also write articles for numerous newspapers, trade magazines and private publications on a wide variety of horticultural topics.
